I am taking a puppy class with Silvia Trkman. I don't know who she is. She lives in the funny box on Diane's desk. Here is some of my homework. I'm learning to touch stuff with my front feet. I'm smarter than Diane. She isn't very good with that clicky thing. And she drops cookies. I don't mind that though.
I went to the Farmers' Market this morning. Wow! It was really exciting. Lots of people. And I said hello to as many as I could. I always sat nicely and didn't jump on a single person. I met three doggies and they were all nice. The first one was Winston. Diane knows him. He is very tall. But he has a head like Yodel's. I really liked Winston. I saw scooters, and wheelie baskets and a man playing guitar and ... There was just so much I can't remember it all. But I was really good and Diane was very proud of me. Lots of people admired me for being so calm and well-behaved. They don't see me at home. Ha!
I had peanut butter today. I never get peanut butter. But today Diane smeared it in on the humpty (that's Newfie for ottoman) and then she put me on the humpty. I licked the peanut butter and when I was finished all the nails on two paws (left side) had been trimmed. I didn't even notice. How did that happen!
We went to Schubert Drive this morning. I hadn't been there for days. Diane says we have to do all the same adventures because I've changed. She says I notice stuff more. Anyway. We had fun. I saw people, cars, roller blades. And we noodled around at the river's edge. I saw a beautiful butterfly. But I couldn't catch it. At first I barked at the water. (I barked for the first time yesterday. A very little bark. Up to now I hardly made any sounds at all.) Then I got in the water. Then I swam in the water! I was on a leash so I couldn't go very far. Diane says she'll be sure to take a longer line next time.
Today Diane and I sat outside an elementary school when the kids were leaving for the day . There were lots and lots of cars and trucks. Bicycles and scooters. Kids of all sizes. There were soooo many different noises and activities! Two people on bikes stopped to visit me. The girl was especially friendly. She was a bit different. Not because of her helmet and cycle gear. She had funny metal things in her mouth. Diane called them braces. I didn't mind. I gave her kisses anyway. But they did make her talk kind of funny.
I didn't go to school with Diane on Tuesday, but she came home with a whole bunch of presents for me. The Rally Ladies had a party. I wish I could have been there. I have so many new toys, I don't know what to do with myself! It's very exciting. I even have a special blankie with my name on it. Diane says that Yodel's girlfriend's Mom made it. I don't know what that's all about. Here is a picture of my presents. Thank you Rally Ladies! I hope you come to my house soon.
